Returning from the seaside

Hello everyone! I returned from the seaside few days ago, and as I promised, my brush was used for the glory of my blog;) Eight proper dwarfs were painted, each of them more then eager to hunt the grobi, and feed their weapons with their ancestors enemies blood.

Here is the group shoot, consisting of all the dwarfs painted while being on the seaside, I think it shows that those were painted to look good in a unit more, than to look great individually, I hope for them to look even better when the shields and snow bases will be add.

Still I put also photos of of each mini alone ( pictures merged to waste less space ), hope You like them:)

With those miniatures, the sum of minis painted by me this year is 51, which is half of the number I want it to be at the end of the year. Even though I don't think I will make it, and paint another 50 before christmas, still I am happy that I painted 50.
Now I undercoated another 20 dwarfs, so I will have something to use my brush on for.

Any comments are more than welcome!:)

Rainy summer time, erm....

Hello! Well I guess that those minis I said will be shown soon, won't be seen for the next 2 weeks, as tomorrow I am going to the seaside for 10-14 days, and as always my camera is in the clutches of my girlfriend;) Still 2 dwarfs are ready for showing, and I will take 10 minis, to paint there, if the weather will be poor as usual in Poland. I hope I'll be able to show some interesting stuff when I return, for now farewell!

Excuses, excuses..

Hello my friends! I am really sorry for not doing an update so long, yet I lost interest in painting, after I started to work on two little buggers, that were to difficult to paint in a way I wanted to:/
Yet here are two dwarfs that were done before I started to paint the above mentioned buggers.

Old norse dwarf spearmen, it was hard to make him a good photo.

Here is the second one, I must say that it took a while before I finally got this one from ebay. I tried a muted pallet on this one, maybe it wasn't a wise choice, but anyway I am quite pleased about him.

I hope to put another two miniatures in the near future ( the cursed ones, that made me sick:D ) and as I shall go to the seaside soon, I don't know when another dwarfs appear here.

Illness and work..

Hail brother painters! Dark times have come, as instead of painting miniatures I must spend half of my time in job, and what is more, a powerful flu attacked my throat bringing despair to my body defense system. I hope to face them in battle soon:P Anyway I managed to paint some little fellas, and so three more stunties are shown, without bases, but those shall be done when more bearded warriors amass under "the newly painted" banner.

I experimented a bit on these models, on their weapons and copper parts, but I am quite happy with the skin recipe I found lately, it fits my needs, and isn't to time consuming ( well it is time consuming anyway, but less than some other, poorer attempts by me ).

Till next time!

Just on time

Drum beats fills your ears, as a newly done dwarf norse drummer make his way here;)

After him run three wip in progress vikings, that are part of my viking force/norsemen dwarf ally idea.

These are still WIP as I don't have materials needed to base them o
n "normal" slota base, so the boots and weapons aren't done.

Phew I did make it, even though it wasn't easy.

Uhh

Hello again! There should be a normal post here, yet as I started to prepare everything to write down the post, I realized, that my girlfriend took my camera on which the photos of miniatures I painted this week were. So I must wait until she will send me them, before I share:).
I hope that the next post, consisting the pictures, shall be here later today, or tomorrow.

Oh and on the bottom of the site, I added the Cool Mini Or Not rating counter ( huh not to good mark, I must change it! ).

Pioneers arrived

I decided that sending some pioneers to colonize this blog was essential and so
three beards arrived, to show what is to be seen here.

Into the storm

Hello everyone! As this is my first entry here, I shall point out what this blog will be about.
I always wanted to have a website that consisted of vast sections full of different miniatures painted by me. Yet as my interests are rather narrow, I just don't have enough material to make such site interesting. Because of that I decided to start a blog in which I will show my painted miniatures, and maybe one day enough material will be gathered so a full blog/site could be launched.

If it comes to my "narrow interests" as I mentioned earlier, I am a dwarf-addict. My addiction started years ago, and now I have one of the biggest old citadel dwarfs collection in Poland, fallowed by small reaper dwarf force, confrontation dwarf band, foundry norse dwarfs, warmachine dwarf mercenaries and squats ( space dwarfs ) from warhammer 40k. Yet most of my miniatures are unpainted, as I am a slow painter, and one that likes to strip paint from ugly models ( I strip more models per year than I paint ). Still there are some other projects : vikings/norsemen, and small russian army for game called Spearhead. I would happily buy some other stuff also, like saxons, byzantines, old undead/orc or some elfs, but due to the amount of unpainted miniatures and limited budget these still wait for their time to come.

I hope to post some stuff each week, and also that people will enjoy some of it + post some comments, as these are the water that keeps a blog wheel going.
